Iron Cross Light – Race Report – 1st Place (Cat 4)

In a rivalry that transverses multiple genres of bicycle competition I once again found myself in waning stages of a race attacked by Cooper Ray.
5th Place – Fawn Grove Roubaix – Cat 3/4
Fawn Grove Roubaix
I finished 5th.
To finish I fifth I drove forward blindly, much of the race alone, without help, chasing with all my might to catch the leader. Between the leader and the (somewhat) organized chase group I puttered and sputtered along, my energy slowly draining as the race drew to its conclusion. To say I was alone is not in actuality true. I had one companion who kept me company. I fed him and dragged him along but he hadn’t the strength to contribute. After the deal was struck that he would get a free ride in exchange for giving up his ambitions for finishing ahead of me I didn’t mind, I enjoyed the company.

East River Tattoo – chosen because one of the partners is Duke Riley. Famous for his “marine mischief” incident where he towed his Revolutionary War replica wooden submarine to the bow of the docked Queen Mary Cruise ship.

Launching the winning sprint. I held the field off with determination. Thanks to Andy for the shot

Tymor Park XC Mountain Bike Race Report:
No full play by play race report for this race. Instead I’ve posted a few photos from the weekend with a description of what’s happening. In the end i don’t even know exactly where I finished as no-body from the Campmor H2H race series has posted results yet. I believe i was somewhere between 10th and 15th. I’ll update this information as it becomes available. It was great to be back off road although the experience was humbling.
Climbing out of the single track and onto the soccer field which split the lap in half. The first half of the course didn’t give me too much trouble. Once over the into the technical sections I had trouble keeping my bike on the trail
