I recently restored and updated Nate’s bike, know as the Green Aero. This frame is from the original prototype molds and was built in Natick Mass, probably in 1989 or so. Nate is attending Lees McCrae college in Banner Elk, NC and is on the bike and running teams. He will put the bike to good use there staying in shape for various racing disciplines.
To get it ready, I installed a Dura Ace 7400 crank, rear derailleur and freewheel. Also new Vittoria Diamonte Pro tires in silver were installed on the clincher wheelset I built in Alaska. This wheelset has been amazing - with the zero dish rear wheel allowed by the offset frame, it has been in service over 25 years with 10’s of thousands of mile and has never been trued! The rear shift cable path was also updated for better shifting. Ultegra brake calipers had been previously added.
